DL403 and
DL404 are both double sided laminates
used with the Xyron 2500. Although
the 403 product is considered a general
purpose laminate, it does not work with
direct thermal paper such as those with
the Varitronics® poster printers,
Fujifilm ProImage® 3000 series or MCSI /
Minnesota Western Chart printers. The
adhesive on the 403 reacts with the
chemicals in the thermal paper causing it
to fade to white over a very short period.
The 404 product has a neutral adhesive
that will not cause any fading.
Therefore, if you are using one of the
direct thermal poster printers described
above, you must use the 404 product.
